PET (polyethylene terephthalate) belongs to the group of synthetic materials known as polyesters. It is a polymer obtained by polycondensation reaction between Terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol.

The resin is obtained from two raw materials derived from oil, ethylene and paraxylene which, once dry, are melt and pressurized injected in machines with multiple cavities to create the preforms

Material characterized by great lightness and mechanical resistance to compression and falls. Besides, can be in direct contact with food and is 100% recyclable.

  • High impact strength
  • Approved for use in products that need to be in contact with food products. (BGA-FDA food contact).
  • Great transparency.
  • High wearing strength.
  • Very good friction coefficient.
  • Thermoformable at 50ºC.
  • Excellent fire resistance (norm NF-P92501): M2/F1.
  • Recyclable.
  • Reduces noise transmission.

Applications not exclusively for food use (bottles, containers, etc.). Due to its high resistance, we can find this material in:

  • Protection of machinery.
  • Separators in cold-rooms.
  • Security glazing (banks and jewelries).
  • Gaming machines.
  • Urban furniture.
  • Building components.
  • License plates of cars.

At Plásticos Bogoan, we provide this material in plates (transparent and opal white) of standard sizes (3050x2050mm) and in different thicknesses (from 1 to 6mm (please ask)) cut both by circular saw and laser in the required size and shape. This material can be screen or digitally printed.
