Extruded copolyester of polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG), being a copolyester and unlike PET does not crystallize when heated or by any other method or treatment. This means that the plate can be folded, molded or machined remaining as transparent as it was when extruded (PET at a certain temperature starts to withen). Once the PET plate has crystallized, some areas lose hardness and could break under load. This problem dos not occur with PETG plates.

PETG is valid both for indoor and outdoor use, and due to its great strength and flexibility it is especially suitable for place where resistance to impact is an important issue.

  • Unlike Pet it melts at a higher temperature, allowing a greater margin of molding. (120º-150º).
  • Reduces noise transmission.
  • Colorless with 91% light transmission.
  • High impact strength.
  • Excellent chemical resistance.
  • Fire behavior (norm NF-P92501): M2/F1.
  • Easy molding without pre-drying.
  • BGA-FDA food contact.

Applications are virtually the same as with PET, the only difference being that the finish is aesthetically neater.

  • Protection of machinery.
  • Separators in cold-rooms.
  • Display stands.
  • Security glazing (banks and jewelries).
  • Gaming machines.
  • Urban furniture.
  • Building components.
  • License plates of cars.
